ニューヨーク・ドールズ(New York Dolls) デモ音源・ライブ音源　資料

７０年代、現役時代の
ニューヨーク・ドールズが残した、
オフィシャル・アルバムは、

７３年の『New York Dolls』
７４年の『In Too Much Too Soon』

の、僅か２作品。
(再結成後の諸作品は別として…)

にも関わらず、
ハーフ・オフィシャルと言う形で、
世界各国で、デモ音源・ライブ音源が、
ジャケットを変え、収録曲を変え、
様々な形でリリースされ続けている。

また、そのほとんどが、
リマスターされている訳でも無く、
雑な編集だったり、
内容にダブリが有ったり…

実にややこしい事になっている。

今回、ドールズについての記事を書きながら、
なかなか手を付けられずに、
データとしてため込んでいた、
それらの音源について、
完璧とは言えないまでも、
ある程度、整理することができた。

(ただ、取り上げているすべての音源を、
所有している訳では無いので、
【Discogs】等、
ネット上の情報も参考にさせて頂いている。)

今回はっきりしたのは、

ニューヨーク・ドールズの
ハーフ・オフィシャル音源は、

スタジオ・デモ音源が、４ソース。
ライブ音源が、５ソース

だけと言う、実に限られた物だと言う事だった。
(もちろん、ブートレッグでリリースされている
ライブ音源は、その他にも沢山有るが…)

これは、例えばＲ・ストーンズの様な、
活動期間の長いバンドの物と比べれば、
実に僅かな数だと言える。

この限られた音源を、
世界中で、手を変え、品を変え、
その上かなりいい加減に、
商品としてリリースされ続けていると言うのは…

楽曲・音源の管理などと言うものには、
実に無頓着で、
ただただ生き急いで走り続けた
“バッド・ボーイ・ロックン・ロール・バンド”
ならではの事なのかもしれないが、

少しばかり悲しい気持ちにさえなってしまう。
(それは、ジョニー・サンダースの
作品についても同様なのだけれど…)

例によって、若干(かなり？)
見づらいものになってしまうが、
